Sports cars have an identity of their own. They seduce you from the billboards. They stare at you from magazine stands. Superheroes celebrate them on celluloid. They are the stuff of your dreams, fast and dangerous. But should you break the bank and get yourself one?
Sports cars evoke a lot of emotions. As you zoom past the ‘commoners’ in their pickup trucks or sedans you let loose a wave of emotions behind you. Men are jealous and women would have loved to see your face and check whether the passenger seat is empty! Christian Grey in a black Audi R8 Spyder has created history. So rest assured, many of your fantasies will come true once you have got behind a hot set of wheels.

On February 2nd, 2013 eight historic vehicles fell into the sinkhole at the National Corvette Museum that were felled 30 feet down when the sinkhole as opened suddenly. The first of eight historic cars, Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 is recovered on Monday 3rd March which was in a good condition and was driven about 20 feet to the doorway of the museum. After making initial inspection of the car it was discovered that the car sustained minimal damage despite the depth of 30 feet which is really surprising. Manufacturing Integration manager for Corvette, John Spencer said, “The ‘Blue Devil’ is in remarkable shape. Cosmetically, the carbon fiber running boards are shattered, there’s some minor paint damage, and a small crack in the windshield. Mechanically, the worst damage is a split in the oil-supply line for the 6.2L LS9 V-8. If you fixed that, you could drive the ZR-1 back to Detroit.”

Used cars are popular in the UK. Every year, the number of purchases of used cars in the UK exceeds the number of purchases of new cars by approximately 3 to 1. There are many different reasons for why a person would prefer a used car to a new car. But before making a purchase it’s important that each person asks themselves which option makes the most sense for them, as used cars don’t always make as much financial sense as new cars.
