When we talk about some of the best car manufacturers in the world we certainly talk about Toyota as one of the leading names in the automobile industry. There are certainly many awards under Toyota’s belt but recently Toyota added one more feather to its hat when Toyota Corolla won the Best Selling Car in Australia for the year 2010. This has been for the 12th time that Toyota Corolla has won the Australia’s best selling car becoming the most popular vehicle in Australia. In November 2010, more than 4,536 Australian bought Toyota Corolla which makes it the number one car in the country.
Apart from Toyota Corolla, there are many other models like Toyota HiLux, Yaris and Camry which are popular in Australia and together they have strengthened the overall market performance of Toyota in Australia. Currently, Toyota has the market share of around 22.8% in Australia and soon Toyota will become the only car manufacturer in Australia to achieve and cross 200,000 sales for the seventh consecutive year.
Toyota Australia’s senior executive director sales and marketing David Buttner said that Toyota has always work hard to provide competitive retails offers on all its brands like Yaris and Corolla. He also stated that not only the sales of passenger cars like Corolla have went up in Australia, but people are also liking the SUVs as the SUV sales have gone up by 9.8% in the month of November. He further assured that customers of Toyota can always count on the services provided by them so that they get whatever they require may that be marketing offers or after-sales service. Apart from Corolla, Toyota Yaris is also one of the best selling light cars in Australia. Among the top Toyota SUVs are Toyota Kluger, Toyota RAV4, and Toyota Prado which is currently leading the list of SUVs in Australia.
