Tata Motors Sales

Tata motors sales rose to 51627 units in December 2009 despite world recession, including exports, as compared to 25219 units low sale in December 2008. The big chunk   sold into the domestic market. December sales totaled 48173 vehicles, which are 100% higher than last year.
The companies total sales of 2009 stood at 432630 vehicles, depicting a reasonable growth of 19% over last year‘s sale of 363353 vehicles.

The domestic market absorbed 172026 passenger vehicles (153939 Tata + 18089 Fiat) in December 2009, as compared to 142514 vehicles (139108 Tata + 3406 Fiat) in 2008. A combined growth of  21% over the last fiscal year.

Passenger vehicles total sales in December were 15662 units.
The other makes/brands also showed increasing trends.
The Tata Nano range sales were at 17534 units in 2009.
The Indica range sales were at 79847 units in 2009.
The Indigo range sales were at 34466 units, low by 5% with Manza gaining market.
The Sumo/Safari range sales were at 22092 units loosing 20%.

Commercial Vehicles

The Tata Motors commercial vehicles sales for the fiscal year 2009 progressed to 255168 recording a moderate growth of 31%. All classes of LCV and M&HCV sales increased.

Exports

Tata Motors accumulative exports in 2009 fiscal year declined by about 19% from 29066 vehicles in 2008 to 23523 units in 2009. However, the December comparative figures are encouraging increasing from1325 in 2008 to 3454 units in December 2009.
