Beetle is certainly one of the most successful cars in the history of automobile industry. Since its launch more than 60 years ago it has remained an iconic car for all the people all over the world and every car lover wants to have one for sure. In the earlier days, Beetle was known as the people’s car because it was a simple car with extraordinary design that can simply make you fall in love. 2012 Beetle
Now the third generation of Beetle is certainly going to be better and quicker than the earlier two generations and Volkswagen is trying hard to ensure that they live up to the expectations of the people. Volkswagen Group Design Chief Walter de Silva and Volkswagen Brand Design Chief, Klaus Bischoff said that redesigning a classic car is certainly a huge challenge because reinventing a perfect car needs something out of the box creation. Hence, they have to keep in mind the legacy and heritage of Beetle and redesign the car keeping in mind the old and new combination.
The all new 2012 Beetle will be somewhat new the earlier models and therefore Beetle car designers are going to make it look sporty since sports cars are already in the news and people love sporty cars these days. Hence, the front hood will be longer as the front windshield is shifted back and the hood will have steep incline. The 2012 Beetle is 71.2 inches wide (3.3 inches wider), 58.5 inches tall (.5 inches lower) and 168.4 inches long (6 inches longer). Hence, when the changes are made you will see that the new Beetle looks much more muscular and trendy than the earlier counterparts. Volkswagen will also give a new panoramic roof, range of audio options along with other personalization options. The car will be available in Turbo Charged TDI Clean Diesel and turbo charged gasoline engines.
