About six months ago I came out of my local supermarket to find that my car had completely disappeared! After talking to the police and the supermarket, they managed to find CCTV evidence of the people who stole it, but this didn’t do a lot of good because it turned out that they crashed the car in a hedge about five miles down the road!

The insurance issue has been a nightmare, but it looks like it is finally being sorted out, and I am finally in a position where I am able to find myself a new car, albeit second hand. The one thing I am going to make sure of is that it has an immobiliser!
I wanted to find something locally so I could get public transport to view and test drive, but I didn’t want to be limited to searching in the paper, so I had a look online at a great site I knew which allowed you to use its national database to target and find local used cars for sale. All I had to was to select my county and my home town, and before I knew it I had hundreds of cars available in my area in my price bracket. I’ve found a very nice looking and fairly boring family saloon which I know will be boring to drive but difficult to break into! I’m test driving tomorrow and hopefully in a week’s time this new secure car will be mine!
