Monterey Peninsula is going to rock this weekend, as Porsche introduces two of the biggest events ever held on this famous place by sea. Motor sports enthusiasts in thousands from all over the country will crowd here to feast their eyes on Porsche Porsche Race Car Classic and Rennsport Reunion IV. The event will mark the respect and admiration fans and owners of Porsche have for the brand of sports car.
Commencing on Oct. 14m Friday, Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey, California will be filled with the sights and sounds commemorating more than 60 years of Porsche’s fastest race cars. The earlier and present driving legends will bring Porsche’s affluent motorsports history to life. It will be exciting to see about 400 race cars and their fearless Porsche pilots combat for victory in eight different racing groups.
The three-day program of on-track competition will be accompanied by some special activities to celebrate the illustrious history of the legendary 911 race cars that is decades old. The event is open to invited race participants. Other activities will comprise of multiple autograph sessions, meet-the-engineer programs along with, of course, the introduction of the new 2012 Porsche 911 street car.
On Sunday, Oct. 16, even as the racing programs and events continue, Porsche Race Car Classic will continue to wow its fans, just 15 miles down the road on the lush green grounds of the Quail Lodge in Carmel, California. One will get to see the largest and most wide-ranging collection of early Porsche race cars ever together.
