Porsche is popular for making some of the finest cars in the world which is why Porsche Museum has been able to achieve the one million visitor mark in just two and a half years after opening. Achim Stejskal, Director of the Museum welcomed 13 school children from India as anniversary guests. He said that he is really pleased to invite and surprise these Indian boys and girls from Mumbai. He further explained that more than 35% of the visitors to the museum are from different countries because they are more fascinated with the Porsche brand and they would like to know more about its history.

Stejskal invited the class from Mumbai and allowed them to take a look behind the scenes like museum workshops which are not really allowed to all visitors that visit the museum. The kids were allowed to have a seat in a 1954 Porsche 550 Spyder. At the end of their visit, Stejskal provided them with surprise gifts which revealed that the Porsche Museum will support their school project. Stejskal explained that the Porsche Museum will help the boys and girls to construct a well in a village close to their school.

Porsche Museum is certainly a place to visit for all car lovers and since its opening in 2009 the museum has provided 5100 tours through 60,000 sq. ft. of exhibition. The museum has also hosted ten special tours in the last couple of years. The Porsche Museum has been visited by many celebrities too like Paris Hilton, Jerry Seinfeld, Robby Naish and Peter Maffay who are equally interested in historic vehicle collection. The number of tickets sold till date could stretch to around 150 kilometers which is from Stuttgart to Lake Constance. There are around 300 classics from the museum’s collection that have been travelling around the globe for classic car events, rolling ambassadors and for historic racing.

Currently, the museum is hosting another special exhibition for car lovers who would want to know more about the future cars. Hence, the museum is hosting Ferdinand Porsche – Pioneer of the Hybrid Drive which runs till Monday, June 13, 2011. Hence, people who are interested can definitely walk in from Tuesday to Saturday and enjoy the latest special exhibition hosted by Porsche Museum.
