However, Porsche has now decided to make some changes to it and now it will be Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0 and will be limited to only 600 vehicles across the globe. The all new Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0 will have the same attributes that made Porsche 911 GT3 a consistent winner on various race tracks.
However, Porsche will add the 4.0 liter engine which is specially made for motorsport cars. This will be the highest displacement 911 engine ever in the history of Porsche, but the company believes that this change will help them to take the performance of the car to the next level. This engine will also feature the highest per liter output. It is estimated that it will be 125 horsepower per liter from the regular and naturally aspirated Porsche flat six engine. The engines will have forged pistons and connecting titanium rods fashionably. The crankshaft will be exactly same as it is in Porsche 911 GT3 RSR race sports car. Porsche has said that the car will achieve maximum power of 500 horsepower at 8250 rpm. The maximum torque it will deliver will be 339 feet of lbs.
Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0 is definitely another milestone for the company and they have tried it on the famed Nürburgring-Nordschleife in 7 minutes and 27 seconds which is quite impressive. The company said that the car will be available exclusively with six speed manual transmission and the car will zoom from zero to sixty in 3.8 seconds. The gearing of the car is designed as it is in sports car and therefore drivers can achieve 124 miles per hour speed in less than 12 seconds. Porsche further commented that this car is a combination of outstanding driving dynamics that have been fit very carefully to get desired results.
Porsche also said that it was important for them to keep the weight of the car under control to get the maximum speed and for that they have used light but durable carbon fiber sport bucket seats, carbon fiber front fenders and luggage compartment lid, and weight-optimized carpets. When the car is ready for driving along with full fuel tank the car weighs around 2,998 lbs only which keeps is running at greater speed. Since this is a limited edition car, Porsche decided to paint it Carrara White rather than any other color. The aerodynamic body of the car can allow it to race at 193 mph top track speed.
