Sports utility vehicles are really making a huge impact in different countries across the globe. Toyota LandCruiser has already getting a lot of popularity for being one of the best SUVs around but Toyota has one more reason to celebrate now as the LandCruiser wins the People’s Choice award in Australia for the seventh consecutive year. The award has been from the leading network of automobiles websites. Currently, Toyota LandCruiser is among the largest selling SUVs in Australia and three out of every four SUV in Australia is LandCruiser which is why Carsales Network awarded Toyota LandCruiser People’s Choice award in the year 2004.

Greg Roebuck, CEO of CarSales.com.au said that People’s Choice award is really special because it strongly reflects the sentiments and emotions of the buyers and what they think about. He also further stated that the decision was taken by voting that took place till 31st October and each vote represents the new company in the market. Apart from the voting there were hundreds and thousands of enquiries that were made to ensure that clear endorsement of the vehicles was made to attract the Australian buyers. Just a month ago, Toyota celebrated another event where LandCruiser was called the longest Toyota template. The first Toyota LandCruiser was initially launched in January1951 and was originally named as Toyota BJ.

Toyota LandCruiser is well known for its tough looks and established the company as one automobile company that has a reputation for quality, durability and reliability in markets inside and outside Japan as well. The vehicle was named as LandCruiser in the year 1954. For the year 2010, Toyota has managed to sold 8,190 LandCruisers in Australia which is 18.5% more compare to the previous year. Overall, 280,000 Toyota LandCruisers have been sold in Australia so far making it the best SUV in the Australian market.
