Toyota plans to mark its 60th birth anniversary of the iconic LandCruiser wagon by unveiling a special limited-edition model of LandCruiser 200 Series GXL, which provides additional benefits worth $5000 as equipments when compared to the original.
The additional features would include leather highlights on the interior, premium steering wheel & shift lever, a Bluetooth enabled touch screen satellite navigation system with a 4–CD changer. It would also include silver roof rails and 60th anniversary badges with the car.
The increase in the price of the limited edition version owes to the fact a twin-turbo V8 diesel engine worth $76 and along with it the car gains the Kinetic Dynamic System (KDSS) worth $3,250.
On the exteriors, there is a brand new color on the offer, the ‘Shimmer Blue’ uniquely selected for the model. Also on the offer is ‘Crystal Pearl’ or Graphite. Prices for the anniversary special design of the car start from $79,990 owing to the enhanced specifications and hence more value for money.
All upcoming Landcruisers as well as the Anniversary special would be covered by Toyota Service Advantage which provides standard scheduled services at $210 per service for the 1st 3 years or a 60000 km drive (which ever is applicable).
The 60th anniversary marks the journey of the Toyota LandCruiser since January 1951 from the ‘Jeep’ BJ prototype and today’s LandCruiser. It has been the quality, durability and the reliability of the LandCruisers on tough road conditions makes it what it is today.
