Kia is a Korean company that has been around since 1944. The company began producing bicycle parts, and steel tubing. The name Kia is actually of Chinese descent and means “To arise and come out of Asia”. Sometime in the 1950’s Kia succeeded in making the very first bicycle ever, in Korea.
