For any bike that has a sporty look needs to have a good engine because sporty bikes need to have good speed as well. This time Honda has incorporated a next generation four stroke liquid cooled engine that would provide great speed and torque to enhance the performance of the bike. However, since it is a street bike Honda has also made sure that the bike is fuel efficient and simple to service. Hence, they have used their new engine model which is very lightweight. Hence, Honda CBR250R has the all new sophisticated 249.4 cc single cylinder engine that has dual overhead camshafts driven by a Hy-Vo type chain. The engine also has four rolled rocker arms and four valve head with shim style valve adjustment.
The engine is capable of producing enormous torque to provide over the average performance and it can give a torque of 7000 rpm. The engine is capable to produce 8500 rpm horsepower.Honda has also given a lot of attention when it comes to the chassis of the bike. They have provided more agile handling and responsive steering to make the bike sporty in all sense. To make the bike look better they have provided it with a wheelbase of 53.9 inches. This will help Honda CBR250R to stay on road in all kinds of weather conditions. To have optimal handling Honda has also incorporated 37mm front fork along with ProLink single shock rear suspension which would make the overall ride more comfortable and convenient.
Every sporty bike needs good braking capabilities and Honda provides that to CBR250R. the powerful braking capabilities come through front brake that has twin piston floating caliper damping down on a large 296mm floating disc. If the riders want to upgrade their CBR250R they can also have the option of using ABS with their regular braking capabilities. To provide better sporting experience to the riders both the brakes are independent and therefore when the front brake lever is applied only the front brakes functions without actuating the rear brake.
The ergonomics of a bike can play a great role when it comes to speeding and Honda has taken care of that while designing CBR250R. The rider has to lean forward slightly so that he can counter the wind speed coming on him. There is plenty of legroom provided to the rider for comfortable ride. The seats are a bit wider and therefore there is comfortable space for the rider to move around while steering or cornering the bike. The bike also has PGM-FI system that minimizes the torque reaction and helps in reducing air friction that can benefit in speeding the bike. The six speed transmission helps the rider to achieve maximum speed on the city streets. The overall base weight of the bike if 359 pounds and therefore it is comparatively lighter than other sports bike in the same range. With the fuel capacity of 3.4 gallons the biker can cruise up to 200 miles distance without a doubt.
