Chevrolet is already enjoying its celebrations as the brand enters 100 years of service and to make it even better they have decided to kick off the party at the 2011 North America International Auto Show where they have come up with their new Chevrolet Sonic also known as Chevrolet Aveo Sedan. The car is called Chevrolet Sonic only in the United States and there has been a lot of buzz around the car. Chevrolet was founded in the year 1911 in Detroit by racer and engineer Louis Chevrolet and GM’s founder William C. Durant (Billy) who were developing new cars that were known for the reputation for performance, durability and value. These three traits still remain the core values of Chevrolet and today they are the fourth largest automotive brand in the world.

Chevrolet Aveo is among the best selling cars under the Chevrolet belt and it will be launched this year in Europe along with other seven new cars. Apart from the Chevrolet Aveo launch in Europe there are other cars like Chevrolet Orlando family van. Chevrolet will also launch the Corvette Grand Sport coupe and convertible this year in Europe. Apart from this Chevrolet also plans to bring their next generation Captiva to the European market. Captiva is the 5 door hatchback version of their popular Chevrolet Cruze. The Camaro coupe and convertible will also be available in next 12 months in Europe along with their first electric car Chevrolet Volt.

Wayne Brannon, President and Managing Director of Chevrolet Europe said that 2010 has been the second best year for Chevrolet in terms of sales and market share. They currently have a market share of 2.5% and with their new seven cars already in the pipeline for Europe they are ready to take the Europe sales and market share numbers one level up.
