Honda Odyssey Wins NHTSA 5 Star Ratings

Honda cars have always created a sensation in the market and this year Honda is coming up with the new 2011 Honda Odyssey that has already earned 5 star ratings from National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The car has already received the best possible Overall Vehicle Score from NHTSA. According to Honda this is their second car in the year 2011 that has received full marks for all three crash tests, each crash test category and the overall rating. The first car that had received the best Overall Vehicle Score was 2011 Honda Accord sedan which is among the few cars that has received some of the best possible ratings in its category for combined frontal and side crash safety ratings.

Toyota Warns People about Email Scams

Toyota has been one of the leading car manufacturers in Australia for more than a decade. However, Toyota Australia have issued a warning to all their customers and the people in general that they have not sent any text messages or emails to them claiming that they have won money or they have won a Toyota car. Bernie O’Connor, Toyota Australia’s  Executive Director of Corporate Services said that Toyota Australia and its related companies do not have any connections with any lotteries that inform the members of the public that they have recently won any Toyota car or won any cash prize whether by SMS or through email messages. He further mentioned that even though the name Toyota appears in the SMS messages or emails they have not send any public messages like these.

Nissan LEAF wins CoTY 2011 Award

Nissan is having a wonderful time with the launch of their new electric car LEAF that has already received a lot of appreciation and positive comments. However, it was a proud moment for the car manufacturer when Nissan LEAFthe European Car of the Year Award for 2011 was announced as . Nissan’s President and CEO, Carlos Ghosn was present at the award ceremony and the award was handed over to him at the Pavillion Gabriel in Paris. This was certainly a great moment for Nissan as the car was selected by many leading journalists and jury member. There are 58 CoTY members which includes some of the top journalists from leading automobile magazines from 23 European countries. Nissan LEAF was selected and was placed ahead of other six conventional cars on the shortlist.
