BMW is already riding high with some of the best cars being launched this year. Now BMW is all set for the launch of their all new BMW M5 which is the fifth generation of the M5 series. All the previous M5 series vehicles have proved their mettle and they are really high performance sedans that are targeted towards premium buyers who are interested in buying vehicles that can provide them with top class driving experience. The first generation M5 vehicle was launched in 1984 and since then consumers have loved the changes and additions that BMW have made to their M5 cars. Here we take a quick look at the new BMW M5.
BMW M5 Exterior
The all new BMW M5 is definitely a great looking car and car experts have praised it in most of the BMW M5 review that you can find on the web. The design of the car is very much like BMW M5 which means that the body structure is very dynamic and stylish. The contour lines on the bonnet make a V shape and merges with the double kidney trademark grille. It has large three air intakes at the lower section of the apron and the lower section is designed to optimized aerodynamics. The all new BMW M5 comes with bi-xenon headlight with unique LED light rings. It also has a signature BMW M5 twin pipe exhaust which is there in all the earlier versions.
BMW M5 Performance
This is for the first time that BMW M5 will have a turbocharged engine for better dynamics. To make this car more performance oriented, BMW has incorporated high revving V8 engine which is a 4.4 liter M Twin Power Turbo technology engine. This engine can produce 560 horsepower and 502 lb feet of torque. The rev band offers better dynamic acceleration to the vehicle and therefore the new BMW M5 has three times better dynamic output. The engine power can take BMW M5 from zero to 100 in just 4.4 seconds. The M5 has the ability to go from zero to 200 kmph in 13 seconds flat. The maximum speed of M5 is 250 kmph, but with optional Driver’s package the speed limit can be moved up to 305 kmph. The new BMW 5 also has seven speed double clutch transmission. The vehicle also has M DCT Drivelogic system which is developed only for BMW M5 which allows the driver to shift smoothly between automatic to manual mode and vice versa.
BMW M5 Interior
Since BMW M5 is targeted towards premium buyers BMW has made sure that the interiors are well furnished. Hence, the interior of the new BMW M5 has a driver oriented cockpit design. It looks very much like a sports car with lot of space available for superior comfort. It has Bespoke M sports seats and Merino leather upholstery. On the dashboard it has iDrive control system with 10.2 inch Control Display. It also has four zone climatic control, heated seats, electric seat adjustment, alarm system, BMW Professional Radio and BMW Navigation System Professional.
