There is no doubt that Honda comes up with some really good cars that are very different from the regular cars that are out there in the market. However, in the last few years, Honda has not only focused on making different cars but they have also changed their promotional strategies in a way that attracts the young generation. Hence, they have come up with various concerts and events that get young crowd together. Now, Honda is celebrating their tenth year of music events in style and for that they are featuring blink-182 and My Chemical Romance together at the 2011 Honda Civic Tour.
Honda began their first music tour in 2001 when they had featured blink-182 as one of the first artist, but now since they are celebrating their tenth anniversary they are trying to bring together their first inaugural artist blink-182 with the most popular group today which is My Chemical Romance. Apart from these two artists, there will be support acts performed by Manchester Orchestra, Rancid and Matt and Kim. At their first Honda Civic Tour, Honda provided a great musical experience to more than two million fans who had an exceptional interactive concert experience. The fans had the opportunity to meet their favorite bands including The Black Eyed Peas, Fall Out Boy, Incubus, Good Charlotte, New Found Glory, Maroon 5, Panic at the Disco and Paramore. However, this time the musical experience will be much larger than ever before and Honda has said that the tour is expected to play to another 500,000 fans in total.
Tom Peyton, Honda Brand Manager for American Honda Co. Inc said that this is the tenth anniversary of Honda Civic tour and they are also going to launch the ninth generation Honda Civic at the tour. Hence, this will be one of the biggest tours that Honda has ever seen and for that they are going for the biggest bands that would provide exceptional musical experience to all the fans. He further added that this year’s lineup of blink-182 and My Chemical Romance is hard rocking, fun and exciting and symbolize everything that Honda Civic tour has been for past ten years.
Mark Hoppus of blink-182 said that they are really happy to be performing again at the Honda Civic Tour. He further said he really enjoyed the tour ten years ago and this time they are going to double the fun because they have My Chemical Romance to take it to the next level.
