Honda is very innovative when it comes to promoting and marketing their brand new cars and therefore they always come up with better ways to attract the youth towards their latest offerings. To promote their new 2012 Honda Civic models, Honda came up with Sounds of Civic contest which encouraged people to go on Facebook and submit and vote for their favorite original songs that inspired them. Honda decided that there will be winners for the contest once the voting is complete. Now, Honda has come up with announcement for the winners of the competition.
The top eight finalists will each win $2500 music gear from Sam Ash Music Stores. Jonatan Barahona was selected as the winning artist. Barahona is a freelance piano player and he won hearts of many people on the web with his original tribute Forever for 2012 Honda Civic. Barahona himself used Honda Civic Hybrid and he said that his inspiration for the music was his passion for better environment. While talking to Honda fans Barahona said that in the song he wanted to bring Honda’s ability to change the world through better reliable and environmentally responsible cars. He added that he believes that sustainable energy is something that the world should be looking forward to rather than depending more and more on fossil fuels. He also thanked the fans for all the love, support and votes.
Barahona will now drive away the Honda Civic 2012 and will perform the same song live at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California on October 1, 2011 as a part of Honda Civic Tour 2011.
