The prices of last year’s gas had spiked but it made little impact in the car market, as a whole. Though this appeared to create a huge shift, the $4 gallon a gas, did not seem to bring about a major change in the way people bought and sold cars. The shift, as seen, was only a minor and temporary one.
The fuel spike out to have initiated a knee-jerking reaction to those involved in car marketing but the initial response soon withered off to reveal a steady response. Most motorists went back to buying their usual ways including pick ups, SUVs and other light weight trucks.
